About EduFin

Financial education isn't taught in Romanian schools, or it is taught superficially, as an option. Romania is consistently near the bottom of the EU for financial literacy: about a quarter of adults are financially literate, according to S&P and OECD studies. The result: people on decent salaries live paycheck to paycheck, with no emergency fund, expensive consumer loans, no investments, and their money held in cash, steadily eroded by inflation.

The content that already exists is either in English, or fragmented, or marketing in disguise for brokers or expensive “get rich quick” courses. EduFin exists as an alternative: a clear path, free, neutral, with Romanian examples, no broker affiliations and no recommendations of “what to buy”.

The mission

Every person in Romania, whatever their age or income, should understand how to manage their money, save and invest with knowledge, and know exactly which steps to follow toward financial independence.

What makes us different

  • A clear 7-step path, not a disorderly heap of articles.
  • Made for Romania: Romanian taxation, Pillar 2/3, DAE, Fidelis, examples in RON with euro equivalents, not in dollars.
  • Scam awareness as a core pillar: few treat it seriously and systematically.
  • Neutral, with no broker affiliations: nothing we recommend earns us a commission.
  • For every age: the same path, with tone and examples adapted to each group.

Nothing essential for getting out of poverty is, or ever will be, behind a paywall.
